Dr Sam Martin is a digital artist and storyteller whose work bridges Afrofuturism, culture, and community. Her art moves between portraits, tarot worlds, and short music films — blending generative AI with design to create vivid, emotional imagery that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Sam’s practice is rooted in both creativity and research. As a Black female academic and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, she has spent years exploring how stories, images, and data shape the way we understand health, identity, and belonging. This dual path — research and art — gives her work a unique depth: both imaginative and grounded, poetic and purposeful.

Her visual creations have been shared with over 115,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, and commissioned for projects ranging from opera houses to community workshops.

Whether it’s a bold portrait, a video for social media, or a large-scale creative collaboration, Sam’s art is always about making the invisible visible and giving form to stories that deserve to be seen.
